QMIC Receives ISO 9001:2008 Certification for Quality Management System

June 30, 2014: Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (QMIC) has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification for Quality Management System, in an event on June 26th 2014, at the QMIC office, in Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP). Mr. Abdulla Zaid Al-Talib, Chairman of QMIC’s board, formally accepted the prestigious certificate in an event that was attended by VIPs and senior members from QMIC.

The prestigious ISO 9001:2008 certification was issued by the British Standards Institution(BSI) and covers QMIC’s activities in the design, development and deployment of intelligent platforms and services for transport and environment sectors.

As part of its quality policy that governs its innovations development and delivery processes, QMIC endeavors to consistently ensure that its products and services meet the requirements of its customers through timely development and deployment of intelligent platforms, innovative applications & services which will play an important role in the development of the State of Qatar. As such, QMIC adopted a “quality-in-all-we-do” philosophy recognizing each employee’s responsibility for quality.

Dr. Adnan Abu-Dayya, Executive Director (CEO) said, “QMIC’s vision in becoming the recognized regional leader for the development and market delivery of innovative solutions and services in the areas of transport and environment, is gaining significant traction and becoming a reality. We are proud to start delivering our solutions within the framework of an ISO 9001-2008 certified quality management system. The ISO 9001:2008 certification is a key milestone in QMIC’s accomplishments for the year, as its R&D efforts have started transitioning to the market for its intelligent transport solutions.
